Joseph Pizza

Co-owner and President, Pharmasphere Inc.

Joseph Pizza, the co-owner and President of Pharmasphere Inc., with locations in Paramus, New Jersey, West Palm Beach, and Palm Beach, Florida, was born and raised in Hackensack, New Jersey. Upon graduating from Hackensack High School in 1968, he continued his education at Rutgers and Fairleigh Dickinson University, earning a BA in Economics. He advanced his education by attaining an MBA in Pharmaceutical Marketing at Fairleigh Dickinson.

Pharmasphere is a corporate holding company for multiple pharmaceutical companies including: Interchem Corporation, with over 40 years of leadership in global sales, sourcing and service specialists representing 45+ manufacturing companies that develop and produce fine chemicals, APIs, intermediates and next generation compounds: WorldGen, a manufacturing operations group, which directs finished dose production from multiple manufacturing sites and meeting the needs of both branded and generic pharma companies: HQ Specialty Pharma, an innovative and product development unit: Interpro QRA, a multidisciplinary team of pharmaceutical regulatory, compliance and scientific specialists: WG Critical Care, is a finished dose pharmaceutical product sales and marketing division focused on providing the hospitals and specialty markets with a reliable supply of critical care products: U.S. Vet, a veterinary division focused on product development, manufacturing, sales, marketing and distribution of proprietary as well as generic drugs to the animal market. Furthermore, Joe has served as a member of the Board of Directors of Dobfar Holdings S.P.A. in Milan, Italy, which is one of the world’s largest producers of bulk active and finished goods serving the antibiotics market. Joe also founded and is CEO of Sly Pharma LLC of Palm Beach, Florida, which holds U.S. patents for critical care pharmaceuticals as well as veterinary products.

In addition to Joe’s fine business acumen, he is also an artist. He utilized his passion for music to co-found, IMP Digital Studios, a multimedia facility providing full audio recording with an in-house engineer and video and post-production services for the corporate and entertainment industries. Joe is an accomplished musician and playwright. In 2014, he formed Sceneworks Studios, a production company that invested in over 15 Broadway shows. He sits on numerous boards including The Drama League of New York, the Ellis Island Society, Columbia University’s School of the Arts Dean’s Council, Manhattan School of Music’s Gala Chair, and the Board of Trustees of the American Repertory Theatre.
