Richard D. Trenk is the chair of the Bankruptcy and Corporate Restructuring practice at Trenk Isabel Siddiqi & Shahdanian where he has successfully litigated numerous high-stakes cases, including bid litigation over $100 million and Chapter 11 real estate, manufacturing, and retail cases exceeding $500 million. Richard is often called as an expert witness in bankruptcy matters. He also co-chairs the firm’s Government Representation practice and has served as the Township Attorney for West Orange for over 25 years, and as special counsel for numerous other municipalities.
A respected leader in the legal community, Richard has held prominent roles with the Essex County Bar Association, the New Jersey State Bar Association, and the American Bar Association.
Richard is also active in non-profit work, serving on boards including Advocates for Children of New Jersey, the John S. Mulholland Family Foundation and now the Spring Lake Hope Foundation.
Richard earned his J.D. from Western New England College School of Law and his B.A. from American University.
