Al Leiter is a former Major League Baseball pitcher, television analyst, and proud New Jersey native. Born and raised in Toms River, he grew up in a close-knit family of six brothers, several of whom also went on to play professional baseball. Al made his MLB debut at just 21 years old with the New York Yankees and went on to enjoy a 19-year career with the Yankees, Blue Jays, Marlins, and Mets. Known for his fierce competitiveness and leadership, he earned two All-Star selections and helped both the Blue Jays and Marlins capture World Series championships.

Off the field, Al is a devoted husband and father, deeply grounded in his family and community. Since retiring from baseball, he has become a respected analyst for MLB Network, ESPN, and YES Network, where his passion for the game and insight into pitching continue to shine. Committed to giving back, he supports numerous charities, youth baseball programs, and educational initiatives throughout New Jersey. Al Leiter remains a beloved figure in both professional baseball and his hometown community, admired for his humility, integrity, and lifelong love of the game.
