One big, giving
heart started it all.
Meet Paulette.

Paulette Laurenzi founded Spring Lake Hope Foundation (formerly Spring Lake Toys Foundation) in May of 2016.

What started out as a mission to grant new toys to lift the spirits of children with illnesses quickly developed into a mission of hope. Spring Lake Hope pays for the medical and medical related expenses, not covered by insurance, for children with rare illnesses and special needs. Life enhancing therapies, adaptive equipment, wheelchair accessible vans and home modifications are some of the many items we cover. Join us in our journey as we approach our 10 year anniversary!

Cody, age 11 of Burlington County is Spring Lake Hope’s tenth adaptable van grant recipient. The grandmother who raises Cody was thrilled to let go of her 20 year old van - not adaptable - with over 200,000 miles. Cody is smiling from ear to ear in his new vehicle. In light of the holiday, a Spring Lake Hope donor dropped off a turkey for the family just in time to wish all a very Happy Thanksgiving. 🦃🍁🍽 ... See MoreSee Less

Spring Lake Hope’s ninth van grant goes to Collin, age 17 from Hudson County, NJ. “We are thrilled to grant this van to a loving family truly in need. Their 20 year old van, which is not adaptable, clearly will not suit them anymore.” stated Paulette Pera Laurenzi, President and CEO. Paulette further states that the timing of Collin’s age and corresponding weight added to the decision of moving them high up on our waitlist. Congratulations to this hard working and deserving family!

Lil’ Heroes for Hope Dinner - Nov. 6, 2025

Thank you to more than 40 members and 3 sponsors of the Lil Heroes for Hope program who have a special philanthropic interest in helping our children.

Last year’s funds - $1,000 per member - were used to fund mobility equipment and therapies for our little heroes of Atlantic Health. This year’s funds will benefit programs for the children served by Valley Health System and Hackensack Meridian Health

Special thanks to Reem Batarseh, our chair of Lil Heroes for Hope, who worked tirelessly all year to raise funds, plan this event and serve our children.

This event couldn’t be possible without the sponsors who paid for this dinner, specifically Psychotherapy Care Center, Leading Medical Solutions and Atlantic Health.
