Councilwoman, Franklin Lakes
Franklin Lakes resident Gail Kelly was elected to the Franklin Lakes Town Council in 2021. Alongside her responsibilities as Councilwoman, she is deeply involved in community service. Gail serves as President of the Franklin Lakes Newcomers & Neighbors Club and the Franklin Lakes Library Board Foundation. Her community contributions also include work with the Franklin Lakes Parks & Recreation Foundation, coaching youth sports, and leadership roles in the Girl Scouts, Cub Scouts, and Lions Club. Additionally, Gail holds the position of Vice President of the Franklin Lakes Republican Club. She also brings 30 years of experience as a director in telecommunications, overseeing the construction and engineering of cell towers across the NY/NJ region.
Gail earned a BA in Business Communication from Manhattanville College and holds a New Jersey Broker’s License. She is married to Ben Shifar and is a proud mother of nine children.
