Two-time Super Bowl champion and New York Football Giants star

Undrafted out of the University of Miami, Jim Burt earned his place with the New York Giants, becoming a defensive anchor. Known for his trademark tight jersey and raw toughness, Jim Burt earned a Pro Bowl selection in 1986 and accumulated 20 career sacks. He famously laid out Joe Montana in the 1986 NFC Divisional playoff. A two time Super Bowl champion (Giants XXI, 49ers XXIV), was also credited with inventing the NFL “Gatorade shower”

Jim was known for his relentless work ethic, leadership, and heart—both on and off the field. A native of Orchard Park, New York, he has dedicated himself to mentoring youth athletes and supporting sports programs that promote character and perseverance.
