Larry was named Chairman and CEO of Inserra Supermarkets in 2015 and the company has grown significantly under his direction. The company currently employs more than 4,200 associates. and continues to invest in current store locations and has plans to expand their family business with new store openings in the next few years. Inserra Supermarkets currently owns and operates twenty-four ShopRite Stores, two Fresh Grocer Stores and two Price Rite Marketplace stores in Bergen, Hudson and Passaic Counties in New Jersey and Rockland County and Brooklyn in New York.

Larry is a devoted steward of his family’s tradition of always lending a helping hand to those in need. Under his guidance, the company continues to expand community partnerships and provides funding and support to hundreds of charitable and local organizations, including hospitals, schools, community wellness programs, and local chapters of civic and veterans’ groups.

He also serves as a trustee for The Inserra Family Foundation which hosts the Carl Inserra Memorial Golf Outing Fundraiser in memory of the late Carl Inserra. All of the monies raised from the event are donated to national, local and community charitable organizations dedicated to scientific medical research, health and wellness, education and community service.

In addition to his family business and philanthropic accomplishments, Larry provides leadership to community and business organizations. He currently serves as the Chairman of both the Hackensack Meridian Health Foundation & Hackensack Meridian Health Carrier Clinic. Larry is also a member of the Board of Directors of Wakefern Food Corporation, Commerce and Industry Association of New Jersey and Ramapo College. He serves as an honorary advisor to Spring Lake Hope Foundation, with which he has had a decade- long association.

Larry was born in Newark and raised in Rutherford, NJ. He attended Lehigh University where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business and economics. He and his wife Inez reside in Mahwah, NJ.
