“Steve Vitale is one of those magnanimous personalities recognized for his unwavering philanthropic voice,” said Paulette Pera Laurenzi, Founder and President of the Spring Lake Toys Foundation (SLTF). She experienced this generosity firsthand, receiving a $10,000 Valley Bank donation at the Indian Trail Club in Franklin Lakes, New Jersey. Steve was also so moved by the moment, he pledged an extra $5000 from Valley Bank on the spot. On hand to celebrate the occasion were SLTF Board of Directors Vice President Salvatore Frassetto, and fellow Board of Advisors, David Green, Dean Logan and Gina Logan.
“A special thanks goes out to Steve Vitale and his incredible team, who made this donation possible. So many children will benefit from their support,” added Paulette.
As a nonprofit and 501c3 organization, the Spring Lake Toys Foundation is committed to offering financial assistance to families of children with rare illnesses for medical related expenses, not covered by insurance. This can range from basic therapies to durable medical equipment and even home modifications.
For Steve Vitale, the SLTF initiative proved to be a perfect fit. And serving as Regional President, Valley Bank, provided him with the resources to further his charitable efforts by focusing on this crucial community program.
“I raised my family in the suburbs of New Jersey. Our roots are here. So when it comes to charity, there’s no better place to start than right in our own backyard. And what better way to do that than to bring a ray of hope to the families the SLTF supports,” said Steve at the event. “With an initiative like this being so near and dear to my heart, I also couldn’t resist being part of the SLTF Board of Advisors. Together, with my esteemed colleagues we can spread more hope to deserving children.”
If you’re interested in helping the families of these children in need, Spring Lake Toys is always looking for volunteers. From running fundraising events, to spreading the word on social media to donating professional services, any act of kindness is appreciated.
