FRANKLIN LAKES, NJ – On October 19, Paulette Pera Laurenzi, President and CEO of the former Spring Lake Toys Foundation, took to the stage to proudly announce the foundation’s official name change to the Spring Lake Hope Foundation. This shift in name mirrors the organization’s evolving mission over the years, as it has transitioned its focus from primarily gifting toys to providing essential support for families of children battling rare illnesses.
The Spring Lake Hope Foundation’s dedication to its roots remains strong. Laurenzi reassured that the organization would continue its annual tradition, “For our 7th year, we will host a complimentary holiday party for all our families, complete with Santa and a plethora of new toys. It’s a nod to where we began and a testament to our commitment to bringing joy in various forms to these families.”
The Spring Lake Hope Foundation recognizes the unique challenges these children and their families face and has stepped in to provide a range of tailored solutions to foster mobility, independence, and a sense of normalcy that include: adaptive tricycles, mechanical lifts, ceiling lifts, handicap vans, and even handicap-accessible home renovations. These life-changing offerings help to ensure every child with a rare illness is equipped with the resources they need to lead fulfilling lives.
“While toys have the power to bring a momentary smile, we’ve seen firsthand the lasting impact of hope.” Laurenzi concluded. “Hope, in the form of medical payment support and assistance with daily living expenses, has become our primary offering. We believe our new name, Spring Lake Hope Foundation, encapsulates this sentiment perfectly.”
